With over two decades of experience in college admissions and higher education, Dr. Meggan Arp Dillard serves as an Associate Director at Spark Admissions. In this role, she leads a talented team of Senior Admissions Consultants and offers strategic guidance across the entire college admissions process to ensure exceptional support for Spark students. She applies her extensive expertise to help students navigate the highly competitive landscape of college admissions, providing personalized, comprehensive support from interest development and long-term planning, to the submission of impeccable and stellar applications.
Dr. Arp Dillard has successfully guided hundreds of students worldwide to gain admission to their top-choice schools and helped numerous students gain admission to all eight Ivy League colleges, as well as other Ivy+ universities and highly selective liberal arts colleges.
In addition to her great results, Dr. Arp Dillard is known for her passion and skill in helping students discover their strengths, ignite intellectual curiosity, build confidence, and realize their full potential, so that the college admissions process becomes a journey of personal growth, not just a means to a singular end. Consequently, Dr. Arp Dillard often continues to advise students as undergraduates on their journey to graduate school admissions and to work with their siblings and family friends.
Previously, Dr. Arp Dillard served as an Associate Dean at Emory University, where she collaborated to oversee the merit scholarship admissions process. Her commitment to mentoring students was recognized with an Excellence in Advising Award from Emory’s Student Government. She has also taught numerous college courses and advised countless students at the University of Pennsylvania, Amherst College, Emory University, and the University of Georgia, and she worked with admissions as an alumna interviewer at the University of Pennsylvania.
Dr. Arp Dillard graduated magna cum laude from Amherst College with a B.A. and earned her Ph.D. and M.A. from the University of Pennsylvania, where she was awarded the Benjamin Franklin Merit Scholarship. She also earned her Executive M.B.A. from Emory University concurrently while serving as an Associate Dean.
Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her son, husband, and two cats, playing tennis, and walking through the botanical gardens.
