Dr. Erin Cable

As an Associate Director at Spark Admissions, Dr. Erin Cable leads a wonderful team of Senior Admissions Consultants and ensures that every student under her guidance receives strategic, individualized support throughout their academic journey and the admissions process. With over 15 years of experience in higher education and admissions, Dr. Cable is committed to delivering outstanding, student-centered advising to every client.

Previously, as a Senior Admissions Consultant at Spark Admissions, Dr. Cable guided students to admission at more than 100 colleges and universities, including every Ivy League institution, as well as MIT, Stanford, Caltech, Duke, and many other top-ranked schools.

Dr. Cable works with students whose interests span a wide range of academic pursuits, extracurricular activities, and personal goals. She firmly believes that the college preparation process is an opportunity for students to discover their strengths, build confidence, and move forward knowing they are fully capable of achieving their goals in college and beyond.

Before joining Spark Admissions, Dr. Cable worked in undergraduate, graduate, and medical school admissions at Northwestern University, developing a deep understanding of the evaluative processes used at highly selective institutions. She also served as an instructor at the University of Chicago and as a faculty member and advisor at Northwestern University, where she taught writing and STEM courses and advised students on academic and career development. Her dedication to teaching was recognized with an Award in Teaching Excellence from the University of Chicago.

Dr. Cable earned her PhD in Integrative Neuroscience from the University of Chicago after graduating magna cum laude from the University of Michigan with her bachelor’s degree. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with friends and family and reading a good book with her cat, Sophie.
